God - We believe there is one God, eternally existing and expressed in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.’ Genesis 1:1 ‘Before the mountains were born or you brought forth the earth and the world from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.’ Psalm 90:2 Jesus - We believe Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of the world and the only way to God.“All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: ‘The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him ‘Emmanuel,’ which means God with us’.’ Matthew 1:22-23 ‘In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made, without Him, nothing was made that had been made. In Him was life and that life was the light of man. The light shines in the darkness, but the darkness has not understood it.’ John 1:1-5 Holy Spirit - We believe the Holy Spirit works to convict, encourage and seal the believer in a saving, eternal relationship.‘And I will ask the Father and He will give you another Counselor to be with you forever— ‘Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.’ Galatians 5:25 The Bible - We believe the Bible is the Word of God and the all-sufficient guide for our faith.‘All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.’ II Timothy 3:16-17 ‘And the works of the Lord are flawless, like silver refined in a furnace of clay, purified seven times.’ Psalm 12:6 Salvation - We believe salvation is by the grace of God, through the work of Jesus the Christ as one is identified with Jesus’ death, burial and resurrection in the act of baptism.‘The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.’ II Peter 3:9 ‘Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.’ Romans 5:1,2 ‘Or, don’t you know that all of us who were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? We were therefore buried with Him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life.’ Romans 6:3 The Church - We believe the church is the body of Jesus Christ, made up of people who have entrusted their life to Him and to each other.‘Just as each of us has one body with many members and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many, form one body and each member belongs to all the others.’ Romans 12:4,5 ‘Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit—just as you were called to one hope when you were called one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.’ Ephesians 4:3-5 Communion - We believe in celebrating communion every Sunday in Remembrance of our Savior’s sacrifice and obedience to His instruction.‘For I received from the Lord what I also passed on to you: The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said ‘This is my body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of me.’ In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, ‘This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.’ For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.
