What To Expect

Welcome!  Thank you for taking the time to visit our website. We desire to provide some basic information about our church family, but our hope is that if you do not you find an answer you will contact us with your specific question.  Below are a few things we want you to be aware of before your first visit with us:

Dress Casually

When you attend our Sunday morning worship services, you will find people wearing khakis, jeans, dresses, suits, golf shirts, ties, and everything in between.  Please feel free to dress as you see fit.  We’re just glad you’re with us!

Praise & Worship Service

Our Sunday morning service consists of praise & worship music, communion, offering collection, prayer, and life-applicable sermons.

  • Service Time - 10:30 - 11:45 a.m.

Communion

We desire to pattern ourselves after the first Christ-followers when the Church began in the 1st century, written about in the book of Acts.  Therefore, we celebrate communion each week to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross.  We invite all believers to participate.  You do not have to be a member of Snellville Christian Church.

Baptism

We believe that baptism is a very important step in accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.  We baptize by immersion, which symbolizes Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.  We believe that we are saved by our faith in Jesus Christ and are identified with him by being baptized.

Offering

We believe in the Scriptural concept of tithing (giving 10% of your income) and also being generous above and beyond the tithe.  Therefore, we have a time in our services each week where we pass collection plates to give people the opportunity to give to the Lord to help accomplish the work He has for us here in Snellville and around the world.  As our guest, you are under no obligation to give, but if you desire to, please feel free to do so.

Time of Commitment

At the end of most services, we offer a time of commitment.  During this time, you may find people who come to the front of the worship center to do one or more of the following:

  • to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord for the first time and to be baptized
  • to become a member of our church
  • to be prayed for by the church family
  • to rededicate their lives to the Lord

If you find you have a commitment to make, simply come up front during our commitment time while a song is being sung and share your need with us.
